MORTIIS To Support GENITORTURERS On U.S. Tour

August 15, 2006

Norway's legendary eccentric artist MORTIIS has been confirmed as the support act on GENITORTURERS' U.S. Tortured Souls tour, which will kick off August 31 in Baton Rouge, Louisiana.

Commented Mortiis: "We're really excited to be touring with the GENITORTURERS as I've personally been fascinated by and into them for years. We think our aggressive approach to industrial rock and energetic live shows will complement the GENITORTURERS sound and live show perfectly.

"After we did the Blackest of the Black tour last year, we had some interesting U.S. tours going on that unfortunately didn't happen, so we're really stoked to get back out to the U.S. and hopefully to play to a lot of new people and also our old fans. We totally believe that our fans would connect with GENITORTURERS and vice versa."

There's some really cool stuff that [we played on the recent U.K. tour]. I'm too old to sign another crappy deal. I'm just gonna step back and see what happens. I've also been talking to one director about doing some soundtrack work."
