These "statuesque" Lemmy figures replicate the basic figure in form but have been uniquely treated so that they appear to be made of solid gold, silver and jet black.

Locoape's Lemmy Icon Figure is now available for immediate shipment at LemmyFigure.com. Lemmy figures and all of the latest MOTÖRHEAD information are also available at www. iMotörhead.com.

So why the solid coloured figures and accessories? Locoape Co-Director Mike Romano: "We received an email from a collector saying that we deserved an award for this figure. We didn't think that any awards were in order but thought, WOW 'The Lemmy!' So we had a very limited number of the figures manufactured in 'award-looking' fashion. The figures look like an icon award that should be given out at some annual award show. They're limited to only 100 units each and we're making them available to the fans and collectors."

According to Locoape President Steve Loney, "We weren't so sure about the 'award' concept but when the factory sent them over everyone in the office wanted one. We sent them to Lemmy's management and they thought the figures were great. Because of the unique nature of these figures we've kept them very limited."

Locoape executive Ron Maddoch: "Who would have thought MOTÖRHEAD and Lemmy could become even more iconic than they already are? From the icon figure to the guitar hero phenomenon, the Lemmy movie due in 2009, the new album 'Motörizer' — which comes out August 26th and a U.S. tour with JUDAS PRIEST. MOTÖRHEAD IS a machine."
