MOTLEY CRUE's SIXX Pens Song For AEROSMITH
March 15, 2002MOTLEY CRUE bassist Nikki Sixx's collaboration with TANTRIC frontman Hugo Ferreira on a brand new track entitled "Going Under" is a big hit with the A&R department at Maverick Records and may make the next TANTRIC album, according to Sixx's latest posting on the CRUE's official web site. The bassist has also apparently written a song for possible consideration by AEROSMITH on the band's forthcoming studio album, which is tentatively due to be recorded later in the year. I could die and go to heaven if I was to ever see my name next to Tyler/Perry on songwriting credits, commented Sixx. In other news, Nikki's previously reported involvement with the upcoming solo CD from former MARVELOUS 3 frontman Butch Walkerthe singer's first under his new deal with for Arista Recordswill apparently consist of the bassist performing bass on only one cut, a song entitled "Into The Black". Finally, anyone thinking that there is still bad blood between Sixx and former MOTLEY CRUE drummer Tommy Lee will be surprised to know that Nikki has been full of praise for Lee's upcoming solo album, entitled Never A Dull Moment, calling it great. There's a song on it called 'Why Is It' that i just play over and over, stated Sixx.
