MOTORPSYCHO Complete Work On New Album, Announce New Drummer
February 24, 2006Norwegian "dark rock" outfit MOTORPSYCHO have completed work on their new album, "Black Hole / Black Canvas". The CD, which was recorded and mixed at the Void studios in Eindhoven, The Netherlands by producer Pieter Kloos, will be released in March, to be followed by a promotional tour in April.
According to Drummerszone.com, MOTORPSYCHO have recruited Dutch sticksman Jacco van Rooy (known from sleaze rockers 7ZUMA7, stoner act 35007 and SUIMASEN, among others) as their touring drummer. Van Rooy recently traveled to Norway and is currently rehearsing several hours a day with the band.
MOTORPSYCHO and Van Rooy first met in 1994, when the drummer played in a band that was opening for MOTORPSYCHO. The Norwegian band's previous drummer, Håkon Gebhardt, left the band in 2005 to focus on his own project HGH.
