MOZKOVITCH To Release Debut Album Through BALTIMOORE Mainman's Label

May 15, 2007

Swedish rockers MOZKOVITCH will release their self-titled debut album on May 25 through BLP Music. MOZKOVITCH represents the first signing to the label owned by Bjorn Lodin (BALTIMOORE) and it was Lodin himself who carried out the production, recording, mixing and mastering of the forthcoming album.

According to a press release, MOZKOVITCH plays a highly original form of rock music encompassing the very best of '70s rock with more modern timbres from the stoner rock scene along with deft acoustic touches. Led by a truly captivating vocalist in Arvid Jonsson, a grooving dual guitar attack of Frank Thunström and Erik Wallberg, Hammond Organ in the finest '70s rock tradition from Marcus Olsson and a blistering rhythm section comprising of bassist Eric Nilsson and drummer Andreas Sandberg, the band's average age is just 17. However, don't let the tender years fool you, as this band is as seasoned as any long established band on the scene with a highly original sound.

Formed in 2004 MOZKOVITCH had recorded two demos prior to signing with BLP Music and played numerous live gigs across Sweden, among them a slot on the Storsjöyran Festival. The band also won first place in Sweden's biggest music competition for unsigned bands through MusikDireckt.com.
