MUDVAYNE: 'Forget To Remember' Video Posted Online
October 18, 2005MUDVAYNE's video for their new single, "Forget to Remember", has been posted online at Yahoo! Music. The clip was shot in Toronto in September with "Saw II" director Darren Lynn Bousman. The song is the lead single off the "Saw II" soundtrack and the clip consists of performance footage and scenes from the movie, which opens in theaters on Halloween. Like many songs on MUDVAYNE's latest CD, "Lost and Found", "Forget to Remember" examines the concept of nature vs. nurture and explores the kinds of experiences that mold personality.
"It's really about reflection, experience and growing up," the group's frontman, Chad Gray, told MTV.com. "You've almost got to look back at where you began. What was Chad before MUDVAYNE? What was Chad before high school? What was Chad before grade school? You gotta keep digging deeper and deeper if you want to get to the bottom of what makes you who you are."
"Lost and Found" has sold 537,000 copies in the United States, according to Nielsen SoundScan. The follow-up to 2002's gold-certified "The End of All Things to Come" was recorded at The Plant studio in Sausalito, California with producer Dave Fortman (former UGLY KID JOE guitarist),who has previously worked with SUPERJOINT RITUAL and EVANESCENCE, among others.
"Lost and Found" sold 152,000 copies in the United States in its first week of release in mid-April to land at position No. 2 on The Billboard 200 chart.
MUDVAYNE will headline "The Masters of Horror Tour 2005", featuring openers SEVENDUST, 10 YEARS and BOBAFLEX, beginning on November 18 at the Val Air Ballroom in Des Moines, Iowa.
