November 26, 2002

MUDVAYNE have issued an official statement explaining their absence from this year's installment of the Smokeout Festival, which took place on Saturday, Nov. 23 at the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum in Los Angeles, California.

"The band wants to apologize to those who went to the Los Angeles Smokeout Festival this weekend expecting to see MUDVAYNE," begins the statement. "After battling through three shows in the Midwest, [vocalist] Chüd was diagnosed by a Detroit hospital with Bronchitis and signs of early Pneumonia. Chüd has been ordered by physician to have at least two days rest before hitting the road again. Our apologies for your inconvenience, we look forward to playing for you soon."
