MUDVAYNE 'Wrote Two Records In Two Years'
October 8, 2008The Pulse of Radio reports: MUDVAYNE finally returns after an extended absence on November 18 with the band's fourth all-new studio effort, "The New Game". The CD is the band's first collection of fresh material since 2005's "Lost and Found". Although singer Chad Gray and guitarist Greg Tribbett were busy for much of 2007 with their other act, HELLYEAH, drummer Matt McDonough told The Pulse of Radio that MUDVAYNE wasn't on ice. "Well, one thing that I've been saying, which I think is interesting, is people need to realize that we just wrote two records in two years," he said. "It's the most prolific period of the band in the band's history. We've never, you know, been this creative and worked this much, so I mean, we've been very, very, very busy and very focused."
MUDVAYNE initially planned to issue a new album last fall, but decided to write and record more material.
The band's first North American tour in three years kicks off on October 28 in El Paso, Texas and will wrap up on December 20 in Orlando, Florida. 10 YEARS and SNOT will be along as support.
Through a program called "The Album Is The Ticket", fans who pre-order "The New Game" at BestBuy.com will have an opportunity to buy a ticket to the tour through a code accompanying each copy or pre-order of the CD.
