MUNICIPAL WASTE heads out on tour tomorrow up the East coast of the USA with TOXIC HOLOCAUST and SKELETONWITCH.
MUNICIPAL WASTE's video for the track "Headbanger Face Rip" can be viewed below. The track, taken from the group's latest release "The Art of Partying", was filmed by the legendary '80s cult splatter/horror independent film company Troma Entertainment and features such Troma characters as the Toxic Avenger and Kabukiman.
Founded by Lloyd Kaufman in 1974, Troma is famed worldwide for its genre-defining B-movie style shock flicks that specialize in graphic violence, political satire and a bizarre sense of humour. Having produced classics such as "The Toxic Avenger", "Class Of Nuke 'Em High" and "Sgt Kabukiman, NYPD", Troma's splatter-style visuals fit perfectly alongside MUNICIPAL WASTE's colorful, high-energy thrash assault.
Speaking about Troma's take on "Headbanger Face Rip", MUNICIPAL WASTE bassist LandPhil states: "I am fucking stoked on the great job that Troma has done on 'Headbanger Face Rip'!! I think that it has a little something for everyone out there that likes to party — gore, tits and the fucking waste!"
Troma's Lloyd Kaufman commented upon the partnership between the Richmond thrashers and Troma's unique style: "It seems fitting that MUNICIPAL WASTE would ask the Troma team to make a video for 'Headbanger Face Rip' as we've been ripping faces off on film for over 30 years!"
