MURDERDOLLS Singer Checks In With Solo Tour Update

February 4, 2004

MURDERDOLLS frontman Wednesday 13 has posted the following update on his official web site:

"The week started off bad because we had an ice/snow storm here in [North Carolina]. This made it a difficult task to travel to rehearsals as well as the show on Thursday. However, we made it through mother natures beating and had a great fucking time. First off, Gory, Chris Lee and Nicodemous of DEATH BECOMES YOU rule and played great, I couldn't have picked anyone more perfect for this. The shows were okay, attendance wise, a lot of old friends came out as well as fans from all over the South East. We didn't have any great advertising/promotion for the shows and this was all word of mouth, so all in all, I was pleased with the turn out. The venues treated us great, and we had a blast. The show on Saturday in Myrtle Beach was at a very tiny place that we booked last minute due to a cancellation at another club. This place was owned by a friend of a friend. It was small, very minimal PA and was the size of a coffee shop, but we punk rocked it and had fun. I want to thank all the fans who came out and supported me and the ghouls ... you guys rule!!!

"This was a good warm-up for the tour in the UK and got all of us adjusted to each other on stage. I really didn't know how it was going to turn out visually. It's way more 'horror fueled' than anything I've done in the past. It's not like MURDERDOLLS or [FRANKENSTEIN DRAG QUEENS FROM PLANET 13], it's something new all together.... The set list we played at these shows will be different from the UK tour. If there is something you want to hear at the shows go on the board a tell us what you want to hear. So, people of the UK, get ready to have your ass's kicked, Halloween's coming early this year mother fuckers.

"In other news: The Thirteen Dead Kids merch will be unveiled at the Magic Convention in February. Mrs. 13 and I will be there on Feb 23rd, and I'll be doing a signing at the booth. The merch should be hitting stores in March, so go ahead and start demanding it at your favorite stores. Remember, It's up to you to 'Spread the Dead.'

"The upcoming [FRANKENSTEIN DRAG QUEENS FROM PLANET 13] release '6 Years, 6 Feet, Under The Influence' should see a European release at the end of March as well as the re-release of the 'The Late Late, Late Show' with bonus tracks.

"There are some other tricks and treats coming your way in 2004, like my book, 'The Thirteen Dead Kids and Other Gruesome Scary Tales'. Stay tuned here for all the latest info."
