MUSHROOMHEAD Singer Confirms Split With Record Label
July 23, 2004RockRage.com is reporting that MUSHROOMHEAD singer Jeffrey Nothing has confirmed that the group have parted ways with their record label, Republic/Universal Records. Calling the split "for the best," Nothing stated, "We were informed from the person who signed us that we were being let out of our contract. They simply said they didn't know what to do, that they tried everything they usually try and we're a different animal... no hard feelings and best wishes. The union, which seemed great at the start, had limitations. We couldn't grow within. So now we're basically starting from a sort of square one for about the 10th time.. What else is new? We will continue and we will get stronger as we have every other time we've been in this position but we are not going away, we'll 'NEVER LET IT GO.' As for the touring, we've done the last 4 out of 5 tours alone. We paid for everything and we aren't given a tour bus, that's out of our pockets. This doesn't change anything, we'll see you this fall and we'll continue and thrive."
MUSHROOMHEAD have reportedly been added to the upcoming INSANE CLOWN POSSE tour, dubbed "Hell's Pit Tour", alongside MACK 10 and ANYBODY KILLA. Exact cities and dates will be announced soon.
