Music Is Medicine For AC/DC Frontman
December 22, 2008SunNewspapers.net reports that AC/DC frontman Brian Johnson was welcomed by Sarasota Memorial Hospital president and CEO Gwen MacKenzie, Healthcare Foundation president and CEO Alex Quarles and Jennifer Mayer, medical director of All Children's at Sarasota Memorial Hospital, as they opened the new Brian Johnson Music Therapy Room.
Shortly after a press conference at SMH — which included area students, volunteers and Johnson's friend, Steve Luongo, formerly of the JOHN ENTWISTLE BAND — Johnson made concert-like noise on the fifth floor in the pediatric department. Luongo, Johnson, guitarist Mark Hitt and AC/DC bassist Cliff Williams recorded new material and toured to support Entwistle's foundation.
