MUTINY WITHIN Checks In From The Studio

April 14, 2009

New Jersey-based quintet MUTINY WITHIN (formerly MUTINY) entered Bieler Bros. Studios in Pompano Beach, Florida on April 6 with producer Jason Bieler (SIKTH, SKINDRED, DASHBOARD CONFESSIONAL, NONPOINT) to resume recording its debut album for a late 2009 release through Roadrunner Records.

The initial sessions for the CD took place at Audiohammer Studios in Sanford, Florida with producer Jason Suecof, who has previously worked with ALL THAT REMAINS, GOD FORBID, TRIVIUM and DEVILDRIVER, among many others.

Commented the band: "Today marks the beginning of week 2 at Jason Bieler's studio in Pompano Beach, Florida. We've spent our first few days here listening through to our original pre-production with Jason and his engineer, Matt LaPlant. They listened to each song with us and pointed out which parts they liked and which could use improvement. After toying with new arrangements, we loaded up our drum sessions and applied them. Since then, we've finalized the rhythm guitars and begun tracking bass, we're six songs in. This week, we're going to start tracking a little bit from everyone. Earlier, Drew [Stavola] started on keyboards. We've just had lunch and now Chris [Clancy] is about to step up to the microphone. Overall, we're extremely impressed with Jason's sensibilities; he's going to help us enormously over the next few weeks."

Four of MUTINY WITHIN's self-produced songs can be streamed on the band's MySpace page, including the track "Awake", which was among the top 10 most downloaded songs at the Roadrunner web site.
