MUTINY WITHIN Pulls Out Of EPICA Tour

October 6, 2010

New Jersey-based metallers MUTINY WITHIN have pulled out their previously announced North American tour with Dutch female-fronted symphonic metallers EPICA.

Commented MUTINY WITHIN in a statement: "After weeks of discussions, we've decided to cancel our current touring plans in order to focus all of our efforts to writing the second MUTINY WITHIN album.

"Touring with EPICA would have been amazing and we were really looking forward to it.

"This wasn't easy for us and we apologize to everyone who was looking forward to seeing us again.

"After a year of touring, we feel it's time to get all of this new material demoed and recorded. We've started writing and we don't want to stop.

"We hope you all understand and support us, because we are excited to bring you brand new music.

"As far as touring goes, we are exploring opportunities for early 2011, and not just in America. We do have a few temporary drummer replacements lined up for any possible upcoming dates/tours, but we are still holding auditions for a permanent member. Send an e-mail to [email protected] if you or anyone you know is interested.

"Wait until you guys hear the new songs!"

MUTINY WITHIN recently canceled its participation in the NEVERMORE U.S. tour after parting ways with its drummer, Bill Fore.

The self-titled debut album from MUTINY WITHIN sold around 900 copies in the United States in its first week of release. The CD landed at position No. 41 on the Top New Artist Albums (Heatseekers) chart, which lists the best-selling albums by new and developing artists, defined as those who have never appeared in the Top 100 of The Billboard 200.

"Mutiny Within" was released on February 23 via Roadrunner Records. The CD was recorded at Bieler Bros. Studios in Pompano Beach, Florida with producer Jason Bieler (SIKTH, SKINDRED, DASHBOARD CONFESSIONAL, NONPOINT) and was mixed by Jeff Rose and Martin "Ginge" Ford of Nott-In-Pill studios in Newport, Wales, United Kingdom.

The initial sessions for the CD took place at Audiohammer Studios in Sanford, Florida with producer Jason Suecof, who has previously worked with ALL THAT REMAINS, GOD FORBID, TRIVIUM and DEVILDRIVER, among many others.
