MY RUIN Frontwoman: 'We Promise To Return Stronger Than Ever'

December 18, 2006

MY RUIN frontwoman Tairrie B., who was seriously injured in a car accident in late September, has posted the following message on the band's MySpace page:

"It has been said that one of the best things about Christmas is... 'You can make people forget the past with a present.' I love that quote because it means something so different to me. Not a gift kind of present but the present of being. The best gift of all.

"As the wound continues to heal, we continue to mix our new album. But now it seems it's time to take a break and celebrate the season. While we will all be apart this Christmas — Matt (Lechevalier; drums) in France, Chris (Lisee; bass) in Los Angeles, and Mick (Murphy; guitar) and I in Knoxville, Tennessee — we are with each other in the present.

"It's been a long year for us. One filled with life, love, friendship, death and a few new scars. And through it all there was always rock and roll and recently our new recordings. As time passes, some things we will always remember while others, we wish we could forget.

"We know who has been there for us as band within and around the music industry over these last 12 months and as the year comes to an end, we know where we have to begin again in 2007.

"Thank you to all the friends and fans of our band, who were there on the road with us, at all the shows with us and here at home with us in the studio...in spirit and through the wound. Your constant love and support has been incredible and we promise to return stronger than ever with a killer new album very soon.

"On Christmas Day we will be making a very special announcement in our blog regarding January for those of you in and around L.A. so stay tuned. In the meantime, for those of you in the U.K. and France, we have put together a few videos for you to remember our Summer Of Hell tour together."
