MY RUIN: 'Me Without You' Video Posted Online
September 16, 2008"Me Without You", the new video from Los Angeles rockers MY RUIN, can be viewed below. The clip was created by Ryan-Dean Corke and Tor Burrows of Acid Pie Productions and was shot live on January 29, 2008 at Carling Academy in Birmingham, England during the band's "Tell Your God Tour".
Commented vocalist Tairrie B.: "This is one of my favorite songs from our new album because it was written in remembrance and it is a story of strength and having the personal courage to continue to believe in yourself against all odds, even when no one else does. Although this song was written to Mick [Murphy; guitar], it represents more than our relationship. It represents the love we share for our music and band.
"Marcelo Palomino is playing drums in the video because he was with us on our last tour. We had a great time with Celo and recorded a killer live album ['Alive On The Other Side'] which is about to come out September 22, 2008 in the UK and Europe and November 25, 2008 in the U.S."
MY RUIN will embark on the "ReligiosiTour" in October 2008 in support of "Alive On The Other Side". The 17-date trek will cover the UK and Ireland and will include special guests SPEEDTHEORY, ILLUMINATUS and SANCTORUM.
"Alive On The Other Side" will be released through the group's own imprint label Rovena Recordings via Cargo Records. Recorded live at Rio's in Leeds, UK, "Alive On The Other Side" will come in digipack form and boast a two-and-a-half-hour DVD featuring live footage from the band's "Tell Your God Tour" of England earlier this year. The DVD, which was created and edited by MY RUIN guitarist Mick Murphy, also includes interviews with the band and its fans, backstage and behind-the-scenes footage, scenes from MY RUIN's album release party for "Throat Full Of Heart" (which was also Tairrie B's birthday) in the UK along with a very memorable end-of-tour party for the band, friends and family and much more. The album's 15-track selection includes a mixture of old and newer songs with a couple unexpected surprises along the way.
