MYTHIASIN Announce New Bassist, Prepare To Record Debut Album

September 12, 2005

Guitarist Mark Coglan of MYTHIASIN — the band fronted by former STEEL PROPHET vocalist Rick Mythiasin — has posted the following message on the group's official web site:

"We are VERY happy to announce our new bassist, Doug Truman. Doug played with Dave [Bellomo, drums], Star [Coglan, guitar] and I in a death/thrash band about five years ago and is by far the best bassist I have ever seen. We lost contact with him and have been trying to hunt him down for the last year or so, and finally located him. Our first practice with him sounded absolutely amazing. This guy is the real deal! Dave has been pounding out the new songs and learning them recently. We have seven songs down pretty good now and are working on the final three."

MYTHIASIN are planning on entering the studio soon to begin recording their debut album, tentatively due in early 2006 through an as-yet-undetermined label. Songtitles set to appear on the CD include "Punishment Overdue", "The Truth", "Lost Voice in the Crowd", "The Future is the End", "Grey Skies", "Coming Home", "Origins", "Tell Tale Heart", "The Gathering of Five" and "Grey Mist Death".
