MYTHIASIN Guitarist Offers Recording Update

August 27, 2006

Guitarist Mark Coglan of MYTHIASIN, the band fronted by former STEEL PROPHET vocalist Rick Mythiasin, has posted the following message on the group's forum regarding the progress of the recording sessions for the band's debut album:

"Been working on a couple of songs. I finished up the guitar parts on 'The Future is the End' (except the solo which I need to redo). For the mellow part in the middle I used a nylon string acoustic which came out pretty good. Today [Friday, August 25] I was working on our newest one, 'Watch as the World Dies'. This is a pretty thrashy song, one of our heaviest ones. And one of the longest. It should end up being 8 or 8 1/2 minutes when all is done on it.'

To check out demo versions of the tracks "The Future is the End", "Punishment Overdue" and "Lost Voice in a Crowd", go to this location. Other songtitles set to appear on the CD include "The Truth", "Grey Skies", "Coming Home", "Origins", "Tell Tale Heart", "The Gathering of Five" and "Grey Mist Death".
