NACHTMYSTIUM Confirmed For Holland's ROADBURN Festival

November 5, 2009

Illinois-based extreme metallers NACHTMYSTIUM have been confirmed for for next year's Roadburn festival, set to take place April 15-18, 2010 at the 013 and Midi Theatre venues in Tilburg, Holland. The band's show — which will take place on Saturday, April 17 — will pan hard towards NACHTMYSTIUM's more psychedelic-inspired material, taking black metal and the Roadburn attendees to a musical place that they've never gone before.

Commented NACHTMYSTIUM's Blake Judd: "We are pleased to announce that NACHTMYSTIUM will be making our Roadburn debut this coming year! We will be performing a unique-to-Roadburn set that will focus on our more psychedelic-inspired material, along with brand new material from our next full-length record, 'Addicts: Black Meddle Pt. II'. A guest appearance by Bruce Lamont of YAKUZA (who played on our last full-length, 'Assassins: Black Meddle Pt. I') can be expected at Roadburn [next] year, along with some other surprises. We are very excited and honored to get the opportunity to be a part of this amazing festival."

Roadburn festival 2010, including Tom Gabriel Warrior's Only Death Is Real, a GOATSNAKE reunion, CANDLEMASS 25th-anniversary show and ENSLAVED as "artists in residence," will run for three days. There will be an additional afterburner event on Sunday, April 18, 2010.

CANDLEMASS will perform its classic album, "Epicus Doomicus Metallicus", in its entirety, with Johan Längquist (who sang on the original LP) on vocals. There will be a special part of the set that will incorporate new singer Robert Lowe as well.

Tom Gabriel Warrior, founder of the illustrious HELLHAMMER and CELTIC FROST, has agreed to act as the curator for the festival on Friday, April 16, and host a special event at Roadburn, called Only Death Is Real. Tom's duties as curator include personally selecting the bands that will play on Only Death Is Real, as well as to perform the first major headlining set with his new band, TRIPTYKON.

Tickets for Roadburn will go on sale Saturday, November 28 at 10:00 Central European Time.
