NAILDOWN Taking Break From Live Shows
May 28, 2008Finnish melodic death/power metal band NAILDOWN has issued the following update:
"So we'll be taking some time off when it comes to playing gigs. After we have played these summer shows already booked, we're going to fully concentrate all our efforts into composing new stuff for all you metalheads around there. It's time to start molding our forthcoming third release. Actually it's no big deal, since calming things down sometimes does good for the writing process and to a band's creative mood in general. So check out these shows in Helsinki and Tampere!"
Upcoming NAILDOWN shows:
May 30 - Nosturi Helsinki, FIN (w/ NORTHER)
Jun. 07 - Sauna Cruise Tampere, FIN
NAILDOWN's latest album, "Dreamcrusher", was released in March 2007 via Spinefarm Records. The CD was recorded at Sound Supreme studios, mixed at Hansen studios and mastered at Finnvox studios.
Formed in November 2003 under the name ACID UNIVERSE, NAILDOWN's sound has been described as a mixture of "CHILDREN OF BODOM, IN FLAMES and SOILWORK, with power metal riffs, while effortlessly alternating between several vocal styles (from the gruffest Alexi Laiho bark to AMORPHIS-style croon)."
