NAILS Preparing To Record New Album

September 27, 2012

Southern California's NAILS will enter Godcity Studios in Salem, Massachusetts in late December with CONVERGE's Kurt Ballou to begin recording its new album, "Abandon All Life", for a spring release on Southern Lord.

Following the release of the band's split seven-inch single with SKIN LIKE IRON that blazed the masses in January, NAILS will drop a new seven-inch via Southern Lord, who picked up the band's highly praised 2010 LP, "Unsilent Death". Due at the end of October, "Obscene Humanity" reanimates three of the most iconic tracks from the band's raging debut 12-inch of the same name — "Confront Them", "Lies" and the title track — re-recorded during the "Unsilent Death" sessions with their more modern, metallic, pulverizing low-end tonal attack.

NAILS' six-date West Coast tour supporting CONVERGE will kick off on October 24 in Seattle. The trek, also featuring TORCHE and KVELERTAK, will mark the first time NAILS has played any of these cities since being joined by new guitarist Saba, the trio now becoming a quartet, and bringing NAILS' already demoralizing riffage to an even more defeating level.
