NAKED BEGGARS Touring Guitarist 'Falsely' Arrested For DUI

July 28, 2006

Vocalist Inga Brittingham of NAKED BEGGARS — the band featuring Eric Brittingham (Inga's husband) and Jeff LaBar of CINDERELLA — has issued the following tour update:

"NAKED BEGGARS 'Stripped' [unplugged tour] yet met with another downfall. Member gets pulled over and arrested for DUI. Kyle Wood, on guitar, falsely accused and mistreated by Kansas City Police Department. Though the show was a success on Friday night, after the show was not so successful. Hopefully with the help of many friends we can prove that Kyle did not drink to excess and drive. Though the man had to have a couple beers... who the hell wouldn't at a bar? He was completely and 100% able to drive. But the officer that watched him walk out of the bar and set him up for entrapment I guess thought differently! Not to mention many mis-thought-out procedures by the policeman (calling no back-up, leaving Kris in the street with gear in a high-crime area, taking Kyle's licence, and a few other mistakes made by this department.

"You may not know Kyle as a regular member of NAKED BEGGARS. He is playing with NAKED BEGGARS 'Stripped' this summer. And we would like to continue to have him in our band.

"NAKED BEGGARS will be playing a few more 'Stripped' shows before the band is back in full swing. That would be in September when those CINDERELLA boys get back from their tour with POISON!"
