NAPALM DEATH Singer: New Album Is 'About Love'
February 16, 2005ContactMusic.com is reporting that NAPALM DEATH lash out at U.S. President George W. Bush and British Prime Minister Tony Blair's terrorist hysteria on their upcoming album, because they are concerned people are being duped into supporting draconian laws and policies.
The British grindcore pioneers are renowned for their grating, uncompromising sound, but they hope to promote love, understanding and humanitarian ideals with "The Code Is Red... Long Live the Code".
Singer Barney Greenway says, "It's very easy to convince people that they need to be locking their doors because a terrorist is going to hurt them.
"You can convince people to accept laws that mean people can be detained indefinitely without charge. With all this government-induced paranoia, you can convince people to accept anything.
"With this album we're trying to push humanitarian ideas. It's really an album about love!"
