NAPALM DEATH To Issue 'Best Of' Set Through EARACHE
April 9, 2003After years of wrangling between NAPALM DEATH and Earache Records, peace finally reigns and the parties are collaborating on a "best of & rarities" two-CD set, "Noise For Music's Sake", due in late summer 2003. Liner notes for the package will be written by NAPALM DEATH bassist Shane Embury. Disc 1 of the set will be the best tracks culled from NAPALM's 10-album career with Earache, while Disc 2 will include rare tracks, including long-lost recordings from the early line-up with Lee Dorrian (who later went on to form CATHEDRAL) and Bill Steer (who later went on to form CARCASS and FIREBIRD). NAPALM themselves will be supplying extremely rare tracks from the Bull/Broadrick era. The exact track listing and release date will be announced soon.
