Universal Music Germany and the renowned rock/metal label Napalm Records have signed a long-term distribution partnership deal. The news was officially announced by both companies yesterday (Monday, August 6). From now on, Universal Music will distribute all Napalm Records longplayers in Germany, Austria and Switzerland.

Markus Riedler, founder and CEO Napalm Records Handels GmbH, states: "For Napalm Records, the distribution deal with Universal is both a challenge and an incentive. In addition, it will lead to a lot more metal and rock in the home of Universal. Along with Universal, we want to further improve our strengths, find trends in the metal and rock scene, establish newcomers and to take care of international acts. Napalm Records, the independent rock and metal label joining forces with the strongest partner in the music business, will present the market with lots of surprises. We look forward to this exciting co-operation and are happy about the trust put in our label. Thanks a lot to the whole Universal team!"

Tom Bohne, Senior Vice President Universal Music GmbH, adds: "Markus and his Napalm Records team are one of the big names in the metal scene. With Universal Music, Napalm Records shall become the leading brand of the genre. I look forward to the cooperation and I am sure that it will be exciting, successful and loud."
