NASUM: Video Interview Posted Online

September 6, 2012

On May 20, Exclaim! TV conducted an interview with NASUM bassist Jesper Liveröd and touring vocalist Keijo Niinimaa (ROTTEN SOUND) at the Annex Wreckroom in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. Liveröd discussed the band's decision to head out on one final tour to celebrate what would have been NASUM's 20th anniversary, as the group called it quits several years ago following the tragic death of vocalist Mieszko Talarczyk. Niinimaa also talked about what it was like for him to fill in for the irreplaceable Talarczyk. Check out the chat below.

NASUM played the first concert of its "farewell" tour on May 11 at Kulturhuset in Örebro, Sweden.

NASUM was hit hard by the passing of guitarist and co-founder Mieszko Talarczyk in the 2004 Asian tsunami, but announced the farewell performances to mark the band's 20th anniversary and close the book on the influential act.

The members of NASUM (Anders Jakobson: drums, Jesper Liverod: bass/vocals, Urban Skytt: guitars, Jon Lindqvist: guitars/vocals) have enlisted the help of ROTTEN SOUND vocalist Keijo Niinimaa to handle the screams for the current dates.

NASUM 2012 is:

Anders Jakobson - Drums
Jesper Liveröd - Bass And Low Vocals
Jon Lindqvist - Guitars And Low Vocals
Urban Skytt - Guitars
Keijo Niinimaa - Vocals

Professionally filmed video footage of NASUM's performance at this year's edition of the Hellfest festival, which was held June 15-17 in Clisson, France, can be seen below.
