NECRODEATH Announces New Guitarist, Parts Ways With Bassist

September 10, 2008

Long-running Italian black-thrash metal heroes NECRODEATH have announced the addition of guitarist Pier Gonella to the group's ranks. Gonella previously collaborated with the band on the making of its latest album, "Draculea", and toured with the band through Italy and Europe during the past two years.

In other news, bassist John has left NECRODEATH for "personal reasons." His replacement will be announced soon.

Drummer Peso states: "It's a pleasure having Pier back in NECRODEATH, this time as a stable member. His presence has already brought a fresh and bleeding energy to the band and the first compositions, in a total 'old-school' vein, are blooming."

NECRODEATH's video for their song "Smell of Blood" can be viewed below. The track comes off the group's latest CD, "Draculea", which came out on October 25, 2007 via Scarlet Records. Artwork duties were handled by renowed artist/director Chad Michael Ward (who previously worked with MARILYN MANSON, FEAR FACTORY, BILLY IDOL, ALLHELLUJA among others).

Upcoming NECRODEATH shows:

Oct. 04 - Val Halla - Barcelona, Spain
Oct. 31 - Baraonda - Massa Carrara, Italy
Nov. 01 - Urban - Perugia, Italy
Nov. 20 - Jambalive - Rapallo, Italy
Nov. 21 - Biergarten - Palermo, Italy
Jan. 24 - Rock Club - Gorizia, Italy
