NECRONOMICON Frontman Recovering Following Car Accident

September 9, 2008

Montreal, Quebec, Canada-based black/death metallers NECRONOMICON have issued the following update:

"First of all, we wanna thanks those who wrote to the band concerning Rob ('The Witch'; guitar/lead vocals) car accident, we do appreciate that you care. Rob is OK, even if the car he was in as been totally destroyed in that hit-and-run accident. Luckily, Rob was wearing a seatbelt or else we don't want to think about what could have been the outcome. As far as we know, Rob is hurt but it doesn't seem to be too serious; left leg and right arm as been affected as well as left hip, the chest and higher back part, around the right shoulder. More details from the doctor are coming and a lot of rest have been prescribed."

NECRONOMICON this past spring shot a video for the new song "The Time Is Now" from the band's upcoming album "Return of the Witch".

NECRONOMICON's third album, "Return of the Witch" will feature guest appearances by Arianne Fleury (ex-AUGURY) and Roxanne Constantin (NEGATIVA, QUO VADIS),among others.

NECRONOMICON previously stated that the follow-up to 2003's "The Sacred Medicines" would "probably be the fastest and most brutal" CD the band has released thus far.

Other songtitles set to appear on the album include "Into the Fire", "Alpha Omega", "The Awakening", and "Return of the Witch".
