NECRONOMICON Preparing To Announce Label Home

September 15, 2009

Quebec's black/death metal trio NECRONOMICON has issued the following update:

"NECRONOMICON will announce in a matter of days which with label the [band's new album] 'Return Of The Witch' will be released. After three months of talking and negotiation with different labels, the band agreed with a very well-established and professional label just today. Also, 'The Return Of The Witch' album cover will finally be revealed.

"The album is a perfect image of the message brought by the band with this album about the feminine power hidden inside everyone and in connection with the moon and the earth."

"The Time is Now", the new video from NECRONOMICON, can be viewed below. The clip was shot last year with Benoit Nantel (GHOULUNATICS, URBAN ALIEN, LES ECORCHES) who "did his best to capture the band's atmosphere and power." NECRONOMICON is said to be "really satisfied" with the end result and plans to work with Nantel again in the near future.

"The Time is Now" comes off "Return of the Witch", which was mastered with reputed engineer Maor Appelbaum (HALFORD, YNGWIE MALMSTEEN, THERION, etc).

Tracks from the upcoming CD are now available for streaming on the band's MySpace page.

"Return of the Witch" features guest appearances by Arianne Fleury (ex-AUGURY) and Roxanne Constantin (NEGATIVA, QUO VADIS),among others.

The band previously stated that the follow-up to 2003's "The Sacred Medicines" would "probably be the fastest and most brutal" CD the group has released thus far.

Other songtitles set to appear on the album include "Into the Fire", "Alpha Omega", "The Awakening", and "Return of the Witch".
