NECRONOMICON To Open For DIMMU BORGIR, BEHEMOTH

January 31, 2008

Montreal, Quebec, Canada-based black/death metallers NECRONOMICON will open for DIMMU BORGIR and BEHEMOTH on April 3 at the Metropolis in Montreal.

In other news, NECRONOMICON is currently in the studio recording its third album for a late 2008 release. "The vocal sessions have been stopped for some days due to some throat injury that Rob ['The Witch'] sustained last week, but everything should be back to normal in no time," the group says in a statement.

NECRONOMICON previously stated that the follow-up to 2003's "The Sacred Medicines" would "probably be the fastest and most brutal" CD the band has released thus far. Plans also exist for the group to film a video clip for the song "The Time Is Now", which was premiered during the band's last tour with BEHEMOTH.
