NEURAXIS: More 'Asylon' Studio Footage Posted Online

February 15, 2011

Behind-the-scenes video footage from the recording sessions for "Asylon", the sixth album from Montreal-based death metallers NEURAXIS, can be viewed below. Due in North America on February 15 via Prosthetic Records, the CD was recorded at Wildsound Studio with producer Chris Donaldson (CRYPTOPSY, THE LAST FELONY, THE AGONIST). The cover art was created by artist Dennis Sibeijn of Damnengine Artwork, who worked with the band on its previous CD, "The Thin Line Between", as well with JOB FOR A COWBOY, CHIMAIRA and more.

"Asylon" track listing:

01. Reptile
02. Asylum
03. Savior and Destroyer
04. By The Flesh
05. Sinister
06. Trauma
07. Resilience
08. Purity
09. V
10. Left To Devour

NEURAXIS vocalist Alex Leblanc commented on the decision to title the album "Asylon": "'Asylum' is the first song I wrote for the album. It opened up a ton of ideas for all the other ones. After I was done writing all the lyrics, I was looking for the word asylum in Latin. I realized it did not exist but it did in ancient Greek. The word 'asylon' had a deeper meaning so it was more fitting to use it to globalize the whole mood/concept of the album."

The song "Asylum" is available for streaming at this location.

NEURAXIS will support SEPULTURA on a spring North American headlining tour. In addition, NEURAXIS will hit the road with death metal masters DEICIDE in February and March.

NEURAXIS' last album, "The Thin Line Between", was released in July 2008 via Prosthetic Records.
