New AXL ROSE Sighting In London: Photos Available

August 6, 2006

GUNS N' ROSES singer Axl Rose was photographed leaving Cipriani restaurant in London, England on Wednesday (August 2). Check out pictures from WENN.

Rose recently issued a statement regarding the band's European tour, which ended with Rose missing the final two songs of the group's last show in London, England on July 30. According to the press release, Rose was diagnosed with low blood pressure and low blood sugar on Sunday morning after performing two concerts on Saturday night (July 29),a full arena performance and a surprise late-night acoustic set at a club. Rose said he insisted on performing Sunday night, although he was unable to finish the show. Ex-SKID ROW singer Sebastian Bach filled in on "Nightrain" and "Paradise City".

Axl said, "I approached this last show with equal parts determination, obligation, responsibility and insanity. It was an amazing night. I want to thank everyone in Europe and the U.K. for inspiring us and for giving us the opportunity to play for them. We are now looking forward to the U.S. in September."

Axl added that the European tour had been "fantastic" for the band.

The group played to more than 700,000 fans on the 18-country, 32-show run, the band's first trip to Europe since the early '90s.

Only one U.S. date has been announced so far for the band, a headlining appearance at a Los Angeles-area radio festival on September 23. More U.S. shows are expected to be announced.

There has still been no word on a release date for the new GNR album, "Chinese Democracy".
