NEW ENGLAND METAL AND HARDCORE FESTIVAL: Third-Day Photos Available

Musician Photo Journal and ReturnToThePit.com have posted photos from the third day of the New England Metal and Hardcore Festival, which took place April 25-27 at the Palladium in Worcester, Massachusetts. Included are pictures of MINISTRY, MESHUGGAH and ENSIFERUM, among others.

The 10th annual New England Metal and Hardcore Festival began Friday, as Dave Mustaine's Gigantour partnered with the homegrown festival. According to the Worcester Telegram & Gazette, the multi-band package created by the MEGADETH frontman was supposed to be in Worcester on another date, but all agreed it made sense to bring the metal together.

The festival then opened to longer programs on Saturday and Sunday, with two stages of action scheduled for each of those days. DIMMU BORGIR, SHADOWS FALL, BEHEMOTH, OVERKILL and THE ACACIA STRAIN were among the main stage draws on Saturday, while MUNICIPAL WASTE, SOILENT GREEN and DISFEAR stood out among the 14 acts on the smaller upstairs stage.

The main stage on Sunday featured MINISTRY, MESHUGGAH, ENSIFERUM, VANNA and A LIFE ONCE LOST, while SHAI HULUD and FULL BLOWN CHAOS were the explosive cappers playing the small stage.
