New HATEFX Album To Feature Violinist PATRICK CONTRERAS
June 19, 2012Fresno, California's prominent classical violinist Patrick Contreras who has created and recorded melodies for HATEFX's forthcoming, as-yet-untitled album which is expected to be released later this summer.
Comments Patrick: "I am excited to work with a talented metal band such as HATEFX. I think people are going to like how the violin sounds in the recording and I'm definitely looking forward to more in the future."
Adds HATEFX's Chilean frontman G, who was previously a member of DOGMA: "We have a diverse range of songs for this new recording and continue to experiment with additional sonic layers; this one song just screamed for a classical melody so we asked Patrick to come in. He did a terrific job and it was great to hear how he took the song to a different place with an amazing performance. He is a really talented musician with much versatility who we have thought of inviting to perform live at our CD release party as well!"
States HATEFX guitarist Glen Alvelais (FORBIDDEN, TESTAMENT, LD/50): "I've always been into other styles of music and it's great to be able to mix the sound of violins and guitars. I could see working with Patrick on future recording."
