New JIMMY PAGE Signature Model Guitar Coming This Week

March 5, 2007

Launch Radio Networks reports: A new signature instrument from Gibson and LED ZEPPELIN guitarist Jimmy Page will be released this week. The guitar is based on the double neck SG that Page can be seen using in the ZEPPELIN movie "The Song Remains The Same". Page let Gibson analyze his original guitar, and there are two versions of the Jimmy Page Reissue Double Neck — one called the "Vintage Original Spec," which is limited to 250 instruments, and the "Aged" edition, which is an exact replica of Page's guitar. For the "Aged" version, Page kept serial number 001, but he played and signed numbers 002 to 026.

The Jimmy Page Reissue Double Neck "Vintage Original Spec" guitars will be available starting Wednesday (March 7) at Guitar Center locations. Pricing will be announced today (Monday, March 5),but they'll probably cost around $20,000, if not more. The "Aged" versions will be available on March 18, at Guitar Center "Platinum Nights" events.
