New MNEMIC Singer Says He Will Do Things His Way

Newly recruited MNEMIC frontman Tony Jelencovich — formerly of TRANSPORT LEAGUE and B-THONG — has issued the following statement regarding the recent announcement that he was joining the Danish group as the replacement for frontman Michael Bøgballe:

"Hi, all you metalheads. I'm very flattered to have been asked to join the band! And now I'm fucking in! It will be a ride, my friends!!!!!

"The MNEMIC guys have been friends of mine [for] a few years now, and I've always liked the guys and their music. I know that there will be a lot of wonderings around people: 'Will this guy really make it!?' And for sure I will. But I will do this my way and I will NOT BE A COPY OF MICHAEL! It will be different!!!

For the people who don't know, I've been singing for several (!) years and have a shitload of stage experience since my days with B-THONG and TRANSPORT LEAGUE and my current project: M.A.N!

"I'm very excited about it all! See you on the road, guys!

"P.S.: I also would like to wish Michael the best for the future. Take care of that upcoming kid good, OK :) !! Love you, brother!"

MNEMIC will be teaming up with MESHUGGAH, GOD FORBID and THE HAUNTED for a North American tour beginning in early October.

MNEMIC are continuing to tour in support of their sophomore album, "The Audio Injected Soul", which was released in September 2004 via Nuclear Blast Records. The follow-up to 2003's "Mechanical Spin Phenomena" was recorded at AntFarm Studios in Aarhus, Denmark with producer Tue Madsen.

Jelencovich's M.A.N project — which was formed out of the ashes of TRANSPORT LEAGUE — will make their live debut on Friday, September 16 at Sticky Fingers in Gothenburg, Sweden.
