New Photos Needed For 'Death Metal' Book

November 5, 2007

Zonda Books is publishing the new book "Death Metal" by Garry Sharpe–Young. Garry's previous "A–Z of Death Metal" is now five years old so it's time for a new version!

To ensure your band's entry in the book is as up to date as possible, please check your band's details at Rockdetector.com. If your biography / discography / official URL need updating please forward information by e-mail to Garry as soon as possible.

Band photos required for the new "Death Metal" book should be uploaded at this location.

Garry needs photos of your band if you would like to have pictures considered for inclusion in his new book. He requires publication-quality images — not snapshots. Preferably images taken by a professional or good amateur photographer.

As there is limited space in the book, only about 10% of bands will feature a photo, however the chances of having a photo included are much higher than 1 in 10 as not every band will send photos through.

If you are proactive in submitting images the chance of being selected is very good. Photos are required before December 1, 2007.

If you have any technical questions regarding photo requirements, or if you have problems sending them, contact the publisher.

If photos are available for download at a record label web site please e-mail the name of your band, the URL where the photos are available and any required username/password if they are in a restricted media/press area. However, the best option is if you can upload the photos to our web server yourself. Doing that will help save time and could mean that the photos are more likely to be included in the book.
