NIFELHEIM's Split EP With VULCANO Will Be 'The True Synergy Of Evil'

May 16, 2006

Swedish cult act NIFELHEIM have finished writing the two songs that will be released exclusively on the NIFELHEIM/VULCANO split EP, due later in the year via I Hate Records. The songs "Sepulcral Fornication" and "Raging Flames" will be recorded at a Swedish studio beginning on May 27 and are being described by NIFELHEIM guitarist Vengeance From Beyond (a.k.a. Sebastian Ramstedt; also in NECROPHOBIC) as "a total attack of satanic black metal." He added that "this split will be the true synergy of evil."

Drummer Peter Stjärnvind reecntly left the long-running Swedish metallers ENTOMBED in order to concentrate on his membership in NIFELHEIM, according to Ramstedt. "No bad breakup or anything personal between him/us and the guys in ENTOMBED, but heavy touring didn't fit his situation right now," Ramstedt told BLABBERMOUTH.NET. ENTOMBED are currently utilizing the services of session drummer Olle Dahlstedt (ALPHA SAFARI, ex-MISERY LOVES CO.) for all of their upcoming European gigs. Stjärnvind and his wife recently welcomed their first child, a daughter.

NIFELHEIM's goal this year is to finish the songwriting and start to record the next album, according to Ramstedt. The band's current lineup is as follows:

Hellbutcher - Vocals
Tyrant - Bass
Vengeance From Beyond - Lead Guitar
Apocalyptic Desolator - Rhythm Guitar
Insulter of Jesus Christ! - Drums
