NIGHTRAGE Explains Greek Concert Cancellation
September 5, 2007Swedish/Greek death metal outfit NIGHTRAGE has issued the following update:
"NIGHTRAGE's show [at the No Budget festival] in Larissa, Greece on September 2 was cancelled due to heavy rain just before our playing time. We feel very sorry about that, but it was something out of our hands. Hail to all the fans that came to see us there, and we looking forward to play there as soon as we can."
NIGHTRAGE's video for the track "Scathing" can be viewed below. The clip was shot in January in Athens, Greece. The song comes off the group's third album, "A New Disease Is Born", which was released in April. The CD was recorded at Hansen studios in Ribe, Denmark with producer Jacob Hansen (RAUNCHY, MERCENARY, FEAR MY THOUGHTS, HEAVEN SHALL BURN).
NIGHTRAGE was originally formed in Greece back in the year 2000 by guitarist Marios Iliopoulos (formerly of EXHUMATION, who released three high-quality death metal albums, all produced in Sweden) and his friend Gus G. (DREAM EVIL, FIREWIND, MYSTIC PROPHECY). NIGHTRAGE released two albums on Century Media Records, "Sweet Vengeance" (2003) and "Descent Into Chaos" (2005),before they parted ways with vocalist Tomas Lindberg (AT THE GATES, DISFEAR, THE CROWN) and Jimmie Strimell joined the band.
