NIGHTWISH Announce DVD Release Date
September 30, 2003Finland's NIGHTWISH have announced October 6 as the official release date for their much-delayed new DVD, "End Of Innocence".
As previously reported, "End Of Innocence" (view cover here) will consist of 12-14 tracks of music, including promo videos and various self-recorded live tracks, and about 60 minutes of behind-the-scenes material. The documentary portion will have a projected total running time of 134 minutes and will contain footage from over 50 hours of raw NIGHTWISH video tapes. There will even be clips from the first NIGHTWISH concert EVER! It has also been confirmed that the documentary will have English subtitles.
NIGHTWISH will enter the studio on October 27 to begin recording the follow-up to last year's "Century Child". The band will once again use their own studio (Caverock) in Kitee to record the drums, bass and keyboards/synths, while the vocals and guitars will be recorded at Helsinki's Finnvox facility. The group hope to complete the recordings by the end of March 2004 and issue the as-yet-untitled effort in June 2004.
