NIKKI SIXX To Guest On REC RADIO

December 18, 2007

MÖTLEY CRÜE bassist Nikki Sixx was recently interviewed by REC Radio's own Cassiopeia. Cassiopeia talked to Sixx about his experiences and motivation to write "The Heroin Diaries: A Year in the Life of a Shattered Rock Star". The interview will air Friday, December 28 at 6 p.m. EST. Sixx signed copies of his book, "The Heroin Diaries: A Year in the Life of a Shattered Rock Star", on Sunday, December 9 at Borders Books and Music in Houston, Texas. Check out photos at Houstonist.com.

"The Heroin Diaries: A Year in the Life of a Shattered Rock Star" (released September 18 via MTV Pocketbooks/Simon & Schuster) debuted at #7 on The New York Times Book Review non-fiction best-seller list.

Twenty-five percent of the book's profits will be donated to Running Wild In The NightSixx's fundraising initiative for Covenant House California, which helps keep runaway, abused and abandoned youth off the streets.

The 400-plus page book, written in part with journalist Ian Gittins, is a brutally honest look at Sixx's hellish year, one which saw him overdose and be declared clinically dead at one point while MÖTLEY CRÜE toured behind its "Girls, Girls, Girls" album. The book also features recent interviews Gittins did with bandmates, friends and family members, interviews Sixx says pull no punches.
