NIRVANA: KURT COBAIN Memorial Planned
June 3, 2004Plans are in the early stages to create a memorial for Kurt Cobain in his hometown of Aberdeen, Wash. A committee recently held its first public meeting to discuss possible ways to pay tribute to the late NIRVANA frontman, including renaming a local park in his honor. Another idea is to put up a sign at the city's entrance that reads "Welcome to Aberdeen — Come as You Are."
