No HELLION Reunion Tour Planned

March 21, 2008

New Renaissance Records has shot down reports that classic California metal band HELLION will embark on a reunion tour this summer.

Commented label spokesperson Tony Collatta: "It came to our attention that a group calling itself 'HELLION' booked themselves into a series of clubs and theaters in the U.S. and Canada. The imposters not only used the HELLION logo, but also included the song 'Screams In The Night' in radio commercials and photos of singer Ann Boleyn on flyers and other advertising."

According to New Renaissance, a musician who identified himself as the "fake" HELLION band's drummer stated that it is all a misunderstanding and and that his group is merely a "tribute band." Collatta, however, made it clear that any unauthorized use of the name HELLION in conjunction with a band or music product is not only misleading to fans but violates federal law.

HELLION vocalist Ann Boleyn has joined forces with original DTENTE members Dennis Butler (drums),Caleb Quinn (guitar) and Steve Hochheiser (bass) to perform as DTENTE at this year's installment of the Headbangers Open Air festival, set to take place July 24-26, 2008 in Brande-Hrnerkirchen, Germany. Boleyn will be filling in for singer Dawn Crosby, who died in 1996.

According to Collatta, "Ann seems very happy with the way DTENTE is sounding and seems to be focusing her effort in that direction. However, she has no intention of giving up ownership or control of band name 'HELLION.'"
