NOCTURNAL BREED Guitarist Quits

December 14, 2010

Norwegian metallers NOCTURNAL BREED have issued the following update:

"Axeman Ben Hellion [pictured below; real name: Stian Andreassen] has decided that 12 years as a member of NOCTURNAL BREED is enough.

"After the band recently met up for the first time in almost four years, he decided to call it quits because of 'lack of inspiration and feeling,' but stresses that he is proud of having been a part of NOCTURNAL BREED for so many years. He wishes the remaining 'Breedsters' the best of luck in the future, and hopes to experience NOCTURNAL BREED live again, now as an audience member."

The latest album from NOCTURNAL BREED, entitled "Fields of Rot", was released in July 2007 via Agonia Records. The CD featured cover art which was created specifically for this release by Norwegian artist Kjetil Nystuen, who is an art director in the gaming industry. The PS2 first-person shooter game Killzone is among his credits.

NOCTURNAL BREED re-released its "Tools of the Trade" and "No Retreat... No Surrender" CDs through Brazil's Kill Again Records. More information is available at www.killagainrec.com.
