NOCTURNAL RITES: 'Against The World' Video Posted Online

Swedish power metallers NOCTURNAL RITES have posted their video for the track "Against the World" at this location. The clip was directed and produced by the band's drummer, Owe Lingvall, for Gun Produktions.

"Against the World" comes off NOCTURNAL RITES' sixth studio album, "New World Messiah", which was released last March through Century Media Records.

The follow-up to 2002's "Shadowland" was recorded in the band's hometown of Umea, Sweden and was mixed and mastered at Finnvox Studio in Helsinki, Finland with T.T. Oksala (TIAMAT, APOCALYPTICA) and Minerva Pappi.

As previously reported, Century Media will celebrate NOCTURNAL RITES' 10th anniversary with the release of a double-CD set containing the group's first two albums, due on February 21, 2005. The debut album, "In A Time of Blood And Fire", was released in 1995 on Megarock Records but was only available in small quantities. Two years later the boys from Sweden's northern rock city Umea released their second opus, "Tales of Mystery and Imagination", in Japan (re-released in the rest of the world with different cover artwork on Century Media a year later). Both albums have been out of print for a long time and will be gathered on the new 2CD, "Lost In Time: The Early Years of Nocturnal Rites", along with some rare bonus tracks and special re-recordings with their current vocalist Jonny Lindqvist, who replaced old singer Anders Zackrisson on their fourth album, "Afterlife", in 2000. The booklet features liner notes from bass player Nils Eriksson, along with the original cover artworks and lyrics.
