NOCTURNAL RITES To Enter Studio In The Fall

Swedish melodic metallers NOCTURNAL RITES are continuing to write material for the follow-up to 2002's "Shadowland", tentatively due in early 2004 through Century Media Records. "We're getting more and more songs done and finally hearing the new record take shape," bassist Nils Eriksson writes on the band's web site. "In my ears it sounds pretty much like we've always done...maybe just a tad better :) Melodic simplicity in strange chaos and confusion. In other words, the NOCTURNAL RITES grand design. We hope to be in the studio putting this on tape late this fall. Should be fun — if everything goes well."
