NOVEMBER 5, 1955 Signs With IRONCLAD RECORDINGS

January 10, 2008

Ironclad Recordings, the label formed by UNEARTH frontman Trevor Phipps, has announced the signing of Massachusetts hardcore/rock project NOVEMBER 5, 1955. The experimental four-piece will release its debut album, entitled "Bears of the Sea", on February 19. Two songs from the CD can be streamed at this location.

Formed in the autumn of 2004, NOVEMBER 5, 1955 is a Boston-based post-hardcore act containing members from countless bands (SLUTS, BURN YOUR WISHES, PICTURES OF GABRIEL) "who all share the passion of creating an interesting and progressive sound without losing a digestible musical sensibility," according to a press release. "This stems from the band's unique approach to songwriting and structuring, as well as the diverse skills and backgrounds that each of the members brings to the table. Ultimately, the band wishes to continue to create music that excites and challenges them, as well as perform it for as many ears as will possibly listen. 'Bears of the Sea' contains many unexpected sharp turns, both in mood and in dynamics, making it a must-listen for anyone who thinks they've 'heard it all.' For fans of: SHAI HULUD, GLASSJAW, RUSSIAN CIRCLES, and AT THE DRIVE-IN."

Upcoming NOVEMBER 5, 1955 shows:

Feb. 09 - White Church - Stoneham, MA
Feb. 10 - Waterfront - Springfield, MA
Feb. 23 - American Legion - Nashua, NH
