May 19, 2004

Chicago doomsters NOVEMBERS DOOM are finishing up the songwriting process for their follow-up to 2002's "To Welcome The Fade", tentatively due in late 2004/early 2005 through an as-yet-undisclosed label. "The writing for the new CD is 95% complete, and sounding amazing," the band write on their web site. "We cover many elements with this material, so the fans of the heavy as well as the mellow and melodic will be pleased! This is some of our best material to date, and we're all anxious to record it.

"As the artwork, and music for the new CD is coming close to being finished, The working title of 'Ascension' has changed. There is a final title, and when everything is complete, it will be announced here."

Regarding the band's new label home, they write, "We are very close to signing a new contract, and announcing our new home. We know who it will be, it's just a matter of making it final. Soon, we'll let you all know!"

In other news, NOVEMBERS DOOM have been confirmed for a short five-date tour with THE CHASM, VEHEMENCE, and RESUSCITATOR beginning on August 19 in Phoenix, Arizona. Other cities on the tour will be Las Vegas, Los Angeles, San Francisco, and San Diego. Exact dates will be announced within the next week or two.
