August 14, 2005

NOXIOUS, the new South Carolina-based band featuring former NILE/SHAITAN MAZAR bassist/vocalist Chief Spires, ex-SHAITAN MAZAR guitarist Robert Dirr and ex-SHAITAN MAZAR drummer Jake Axelson, have uploaded their video for the song "Destructist" at this location (Windows Media).

NOXIOUS recently completed work on a four-song demo featuring the following songs:

01. Fresh Veins
02. Fish Bowl
03. What We Have Done
04. Brain Candy

Formed in March of 2004, NOXIOUS' music "combines many spectrums of metal and hard rock music through the raunchy complexities of Stuart McConnell and Robert Dirr's guitar riffs complimented by Chief Spires' chest-pounding bass lines," acording to the band's press kit. "All of this is held together by jaw-dropping vocal prowess and intelligent lyricism from Hans Wenzel and commanding rythms from Jake Axelson on drums."

NOXIOUS is:

Stuart McConnell - Guitar/Vocals
Robert Dirr - Guitar
Chief Spires - Bass/Vocals
Jake Axelson - Drums
Hans Wenzel - Lead Vocals

NOXIOUS's next live appearance will take place on Friday, August 19 at Ground Zero in Spartanburg, South Carolina. Also appearing on the bill will be SLUNT, KILL DELILAH and DIRTY BOX.
