NUCLEAR BLAST RECORDS: Behind-The-Scenes Look At U.S. Office (Video)

April 6, 2012

As part of their label showcase series, Scion A/V is offering a behind-the-scenes view of the inner-workings of the U.S. branch of the independent heavy metal record label Nuclear Blast.

These videos were shot on location at Nuclear Blast's North American office in Hawthorne, California. Topics include new signings, the challenges and rewards of operating a metal label in the digital age, the importance of personal relationships with bands, and the future of the label.

Nuclear Blast was founded in Donzdorf, Germany in 1987 by Markus Staiger.

Since 2000, Nuclear Blast has maintained U.S. staff and operations in Los Angeles via a successful and long-running production and distribution deal with The Century Family, Inc., parent of Century Media Records. Century Media currently maintains a distribution deal with Caroline/EMI which it manages for Nuclear Blast under the arrangement.

Artists currently signed to Nuclear Blast include EXODUS, DIMMU BORGIR, ACCEPT, DEATH ANGEL and KREATOR.
